French Onion Dip

Great as a quick weekend pantry clean out or for parties, this creamy herbaceous dip pairs great with fresh kettle chips! Ingredients 2T salted butter 1T beef tallow or equivalent 1/2T Kosher Salt Black Pepper, ground, to taste 1 Lg Yellow Onion, minced 1 Md Shallot, minced 5 dashes of Worcestershire Sauce 3T Water 2T Minced Dried Onion 1/2T Onion Powder 1t MSG 16oz Sour Cream 1 Block Cream Cheese, softened 8oz Mayonnaise 1 bunch Italian Parsley Chives, sliced for garnish Steps In a nonstick pan over medium heat, melt the butter and tallow. Add the onion and salt to the pan. Saute the minced onion until translucent, stirring often. Add the minced shallot to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. Enough to remove the sharp flavor and allow for carmelization. Add Worcestershire sauce and water to pan and deglaze. Add minced dried onion, onion powder, and MSG. Remove from heat.
